Winterhawks Plane Toss

Winterhawks brought back their popular Airplane Toss with huge prizes.

Families looking for a fun outing the night before Thanksgiving won’t want to miss the Great Airplane Toss at the Winterhawks game at the Rose Garden.

At the Great Airplane Toss, fans make paper airplanes and throw them at targets on the ice at the conclusion of the game. The person who throws the plane that lands closest to each target will win that prize. Each fan will receive one free paper airplane.  Prizes included:

  • $10,000 grand prize
  • Resort stays in Bend, Oregon and Lake Tahoe, California
  • A 40” inch Samsung television
  • Bose DVD home theater system
  • Nokian Tyres from Tire Factory
  • and more…

“The Great Airplane Toss was a very popular promotion last year, and we’re excited to have it back and bigger than ever with a $10,000 grand prize,” said Portland Winterhawks President Doug Piper. “Winning the $10,000 grand prize could certainly brighten one family’s Thanksgiving.”
