The Utica Comets, the AHL affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks, broke the league record for consecutive sellouts October 19th with their 121st straight sellout. When records like this fall, they belong to the fans just as much as the organization. The game presentation team in Utica added elements to shine light on the record. To honor the milestone, fans were given the chance to sign a commemorative banner that will hang in the building marking the achievement. Dave Andrews, President of the AHL, was on hand for the game and dropped the ceremonial puck prior to the start. Even the players showed their appreciation towards the fans and their dedication to the team.
