Let’s Get Weird 5k

Gritty host his own 5k race, including orange DIY costumes, hot dogs and cake (in your face).

Gritty is not only grabbing the headlines in the arena, he’s leading the way off the ice with his own 5k.

The third annual run will be held on Saturday, November 6 both in person and virtually.
The unique 3.1-mile course starts and ends in the Wells Fargo Center Complex and will loop through the Navy Yard and once again feature fun, interactive activations. Prizes will be awarded to the “Best in Fur” runners and other unique categories.

The 2021 Gritty 5K will combine the typical in-person race format with an added virtual aspect so that fans can participate from anywhere in the world. Last year’s virtual edition saw runners from all 50 states and 10 different countries.

All participants will receive a long sleeve tech shirt, reusable tote and finishers medal.  (team source)
