Teams are getting creative beyond filling stadiums with cardboard cutouts. The Philadelphia Union and MLB’s Padres effectively filled section with two initiatives and got people talking.
First in Philly the Union hosted cutout of adoptable dogs in a section to highlight some lovable pets who need a home.

The Padres have a rotational section behind home plate (the good seats) where different groups are placed for games. Obviously they are prominent on TV and a talking point for broadcast, effectively creating a Military Tribute promotion.
The San Diego Padres are highlighting World War II veterans today behind home plate as they honor the 75th Anniversary of the end of WWII.
The cutouts are mostly local WWII veterans – men and women from every branch of service.

The Padres have a special section called the Barkyard where fans can submit their pet photos so their furry friends can be seen taking in the game too.
Calling all #FriarFaithful and their furry friends! 🐶
Share a photo of you with your dog with the hashtag #PadresPets for a chance to have a cardboard cutout of you and your pup in the @PetcoPark Barkyard this season! 👇 pic.twitter.com/JznYqftsgG
