Bullpenning Night in Charleston

Front office calls on the Bullpen for a promotion.

Fun innovation from the Riverdogs:  Bullpenning Night.

Here is the scoop:

Bullpenning Night/ #WayBackWednesday: (team site)
Listen to your dad complain about the long-forgotten complete game and the rubber arm heroes of the past as the RiverDogs celebrate the increasing bullpen usage in baseball. The RiverDogs will turn the spotlight on their own bullpen as well, featuring a red-carpet introduction of the Charleston relief corps pregame, and highlight some of their former stars who helped the Yankees bullpen their way through the 2017 AL Wild Card Game. Former R’Dog innings-eater and Major Leaguer Dan Wheeler will also be on hand to sign autographs as part of a Way Back Wednesday presented by Kirkman Broadcasting and ABC News 4 as the Dogs suit up in their purple and teal throwbacks. Fans can take advantage of $4 throwback prices to the 1994 inaugural season courtesy of Harris Teeter. The Charleston front office will bring the hook all night long as they relieve their PA announcer, ushers, interns, concession staff, and more. Brian Kenny, your tickets will be at the will call window.

I love the concept of the front office relieving the game night staff…fun twist.

Great example of really taking a concept and spreading it around your ballpark.  They also combine with their weekly “WaybackWednesdaay”, throwback jerseys, former players.

The concept while a bit abstract is well explained on the site and is ripe with possibilities at the ballpark.
