Beating Cancer with a Cowbell

Civic-minded hockey team hits a trifecta of community supporting promotions in a week.

The Roadrunners were out to beat cancer with a cowbell last week.  This pink cowbell giveaway on #HockeyFightsCancer Night was in a weekend set with a Military Night…a good one-two punch of goodwill from the Roadrunners.

Cancer Awareness and Salute Our Military Night
Friday, November 9 the Roadrunners open a weekend set against the San Jose Barracuda with Cancer Awareness Night presented by ASHLine. Fans will receive a Cancer Awareness Cowbell Giveaway courtesy of Fox 11 upon entry of Tucson Arena. The evening is also the first Ladies Night of the season presented by Genesis OBGYN.

Saturday, November 10 is Salute Our Military presented by T-Mobile. The team will be wearing specialty jerseys modeled after the A-10 Thunderbolt-Warthog from Tucson’s own Davis-Monthan Air Force Base. The jerseys will be auctioned off following the game.

The civic-minded team was also fresh off their election Night promotion on Wednesday:  The Tucson Roadrunners, proud American Hockey League affiliate of the Arizona Coyotes, are set to host “I Voted Night” on Wednesday, November 7 in celebration of the recent election.
