I was listening to David Stern (Commissioner of the NBA) talk with Bill Simmons today about all things NBA. Bill brought up what he views as the NBA’s biggest hurdle in the upcoming decades … the fact that the home viewing environment has become so extensive that fans have less and less reasons to actually attend games live.

I will say that I am not a fan of contests that are derivative of the Survivor bug eating contests. I think some find these amusing, but they have such a negative impact on the people who don’t share that perspective to be worthwhile editions to a good game presentation.

Last month I got an email from a friend with a link to this video by a group called Improv Everywhere. If you haven’t heard of them, they are a New York based improv group specializing in creating joyful chaos with live pranks in public places, as well as now being an internet sensation with all these assorted pranks posted on YouTube.

Some of the content I really love on Gameops.com are the definition pages. When I worked at Nike in the sports entertainment department I was throw into the deep water on some production elements I knew nothing about. Pyro and lighting were just two such areas.
