President’s Day Presidents Race in NY
I just got word that the Racing Presidents of Washington Nationals fame will be returning to the New York Islanders for a special President’s Day edition of the Race.
Here is video of their race last year with the Islanders:
The award winning Racing Presidents from the Washington Nationals. To celebrate Presidents Day 2009, our favorite founding fathers raced during the 2nd intermission of the New York Islanders game.
The Presidents have taken their show on the road in several venues, including a race against the Pierogies in Pittsburgh.
President’s Coordinator Tom Davis explained that the Islanders were the first team to approach them for a Presidents Day celebration (in 2009). The Nationals were interested in giving a Presidents Race on ice a try. The event was such a success that they are doing it again this year.
