Ask Gameops.com: Chuck-a-Puck Targets

Written By: Cudo on November 14, 2009 No Comment
Could you also give me some different options for our Chuck a Puck contest?   We currently use Banners, but they are the best quality and never lay on the ice the way they should.
Thanks!

thunder_2Dear Kyle,

Good question on Chuck-a-Puck.  First of all, we can help with banners if you need better ones.  We have lots of options on sizes and quality.

I really like when teams use a variety of targets, not just the 2 dimensional banners.  I have seen moving boxes, shopping carts, even a mascot carrying around a garbage can (where fans are throwing at the mascot!).  Nothing makes a grocery chain happier than one of their carts on the ice or several in a row cementing in fans minds who the sponsor of that target is.

askMost sponsors have something they can be identified with:  Open pizza boxes, a circle of dinner plates for a restaurant, or even adding a prop to a banner can make this more compelling (like a inflatable bowling pin standing next to a banner for a bowling center).
