Mobile Scripts
I got a email from a friend who saw a product we use in-game with our mascot handlers.
Like many teams we have multi-page scripts that can be cumbersome, especially if you are running around the building. Scripts also often have several layers of information about PA, video boards, and timings that mascot assistants and interactive team members don’t use. So in lieu of using those scripts in game and carrying them around, our mascot assistants use the same wristbands used by quarterbacks that have a small window. A custom script with the bare bones details are printed out and inserted in the window each game. Our teams still reads the script and keeps a copy in their lockerroom, but while running around they just use their wristbands.
The bands are comfortable and look athletic and sharp, and a useful inexpensive addition. Here are some options from Amazon.com. These are also usually available and larger sporting goods stores, but the selection isn’t this good.
There are options with multiple pages also, which could be used for the game script as well as a seating chart, emergency contact numbers, radio channel lists, or other related in-game information.
