Character Matters

Written By: Cudo on July 4, 2009 No Comment

Occasionally I blog here for slightly off-topic reasons, this is one of those.

torchI am excited to announce I have started a bi-monthly column on another site and wanted to take an opportunity to share that news .  My first effort for this column called “Character Matters” is now live on PWTorch.com.

PWTorch.com is the leading news outlet for the world of  Professional Wrestling, run by Wade Keller since 1987.  Wade and I have been friends for 16 years and I was thrilled at his invitation to write for his site.  My “Specialist” column looks at character development of professional wrestlers and the performer’s’ ability to create a character than fans are interested in.

If that sounds familiar it’s because it is what I consider to be a comparable process to what professional sports mascots do.  I have always thought the most similar occupational study of a professional mascot is a modern day professional wrestler.  For the column I use my years creating and performing as a character to consider how these performers are doing and how they might enhance their connection.

So for the countless throngs of you who can’t get enough of me here….you now have another outlet.

Here are the links:

Hope you have a great 4th of July Holiday.
