Endzone Thriller
Arland Bruce may have pulled off the oddest MJ tribute in what could end up being a long list of odd tributes to the King of Pop.
TORONTO (AP) — The CFL isn’t all that thrilled with Arland Bruce’s tribute to Michael Jackson in the Toronto Argos win in Hamilton.
Following a TD pass from Kerry Joseph that put Toronto ahead 6-0, Bruce removed his helmet, shoulder pads and uniform top and laid down in the end zone. Bruce said he was honoring the memory of Michael Jackson by pretending to be buried. (SI.com)
The idea is solid (honoring MJ), but with a dozen trademark dance moves from the Moonwalk to the crotch grab it seems an odd choice to honor him by impersonating a dead guy.
It’s times like this that a fun party league like the AFL is really missed.
