Best Team Operations
Which team is doing the best job in their game operations and game presentation. We level the playing field by considering budget constraints to minor league teams. Consider creativity, value to fans, overcoming sport and budget limitations, quality of presentation, and attention to detail.
You can submit nominations for Best Team Operations here (in the comments)or via email.
Last year’s winners included the New Orleans Hornets, Fresno Grizzlies and Phoenix Suns. 2006 winners included the Miami Heat, Hagerstown Suns, and San Jose Sharks.
Nominations this year already include the Lowell Spinners and Minnesota Twins.
Nominations are open.

I would like to submit my nomination for the Fresno Grizzlies as the Best Team Operations franchise in Game Entertainment today. With a cast of characters that will rival any sports teams, every night you’re entertained by Parker, The Drag Kings, Derek Franks or with their running gags throughout the course of the season. I’ve seen plenty of baseball games and the Grizzlies really are the leaders when it comes to putting on a good show for the fans!

I would like to submit the Columbus Blue Jackets game-ops team. They seem to always have a fresh take on how to promote the team, get the fans involved, and make the promotions about the fans. The cannon that fires after every score is amazing. Their opening night tribute to their late founder, Mr. McConnell, was very moving. These people not only do a great job, they appear as if they truly care about the fans, community and team.

I would like to nominate the Columbus Blue Jackets. The game is entertainment enough but the in Game Entertainment can’t be matched. Attend a game and you too will see quality fun for the entire family.
Great expierence!

I would like to nominate the Columbus Blue Jackets for their unique use of a real cannon for fan entertainment. The cannon is ingited and shot when we score a goal. The fans love it! They also have their pictures taken with the cannon and the Blue Jacket soldier.
