Best Contest or On-Field Promotion
What promotion or contest is the most entertaining. For example, a “Chuck-a-Puck” contest. This is a repeatable on-field promotion that is held in-game. Consider entertainment value, sponsorship possibilities, cost, and repeatability.
We have been high-lighting and nominating several promotions all year. You can nominate your own promotion or your favorite from around sports in the comment box of this blog post.

The field drag. Four people with rakes pulled behind them dragging the infield during a baseball game to smooth out the inconsistencies of the dirt to alleviate bad hops for infielders. Usually done at the end of the fifth inning of a ballgame, the field drag is a staple in all levels of baseball. In their inaugural season, “The Drag Kings” brought down the house each homestand with choreographed dance moves while dragging the infield dirt. Made up of four front office staff members, “The Drag Kings” were more than your average dancing field drag crew as they had a vast repertoire of performances ranging from Jackson 5 and Outkast to Justin Timberlake and New Kids on the Block. “The Drag Kings” fan base grew throughout the season up to the final game of the season when huge signs were displayed by adoring fans. “The Drag Kings” practiced and rehearsed each dance and took the field over 25 times throughout the season to display their moves in front of the Grizzlies faithful. After the third out and the music started, fans knew “The Drag Kings” were about to put on another great show.
