Best Act
The touring act or halftime show that excels in providing quality entertainment for your fans. Consider drawing power, quality, cooperation of the act, media, and value. All touring acts and non-team affiliated shows and performers are considered.
Last year’s winners were:
Winner: Bucket Boys
Chicago’s Bucket Boys edge the competition by being a fresh, flexible, high-energy act.
Honorable Mention:
- Red Panda
- Zooperstars
- Quick Change
Notes:
It seems we get the same list of names every year, as it continues to be difficult to create and establish new successful acts. The NBA and NFL continued to reach out to big name music acts, however the success has been limited and the more traditional acts continue to impress the fans and staffs of most teams.

This year’s most impressive and most original act that I have seen or heard of is Mr. Woo, the soccer phenom from China. The consistently-reigning freestyle soccer world champion is a human seal and is not only amazing but very professional. I couldn’t take my eyes off of him the entire time he was on stage!

I don’t know exactly where this fits for nominations, but bar none, the most original and exciting act that has come out this year is the Dunking Dancers from the Orlando Magic!
The team, composed of the actual Magic Dancers, has been training with their mascot, STUFF, for the past three seasons on acro-dunking off of a mini trampoline. Now equipped with 360s, flip dunks, landing in splits, and all kinds of things that even male dunkers can’t do, these girls are amazing!
They were featured at this year’s NBA All-Star Game, at the NCAA Final Four, traveled overseas to perform for the US troops, in China and Hong Kong, at minor league games, in Vibe Magazine, and specifically noted by Commissioner David Stern at the NBA League Meetings as one of the best new ideas of the NBA.
It has been extremely successful for the Orlando Magic, so much in fact that SEVERAL teams are already trying to replicate this awesome display of beauty and athleticism for the upcoming season!

I would like to nominate the Chicago Boyz Acrobatic Team.
The Chicago Boyz Acrobatic Team is a professional gymnastics troupe consisting of talented young men and boys from the Chicagoland area. They do tumbling, trampoline and stunts inside of jump ropes.

The Chicago Sky Drumline aka, KAOTIC, is a fresh, exciting and loud way to get the fans into the game and atmosphere. Check it out: http://www.wnba.com/sky/fans/Drumline_BIOS-182893-844.html

When I was down is Chicago to see the SKY, their drum line KAOTIC was awesome! You could really feel the crowd getting into it. When they were done, the place went nuts. Now if I could only get the Bucks to get them up here for a game!

I can’t remember their name, but from the posts earlier it must have been Kaotic. Whatever their name was the drum line from the Chicago WNBA team were the best I saw, even better than the Bucket Boys, I think the Bulls need to get them instead.
